May 2009

The closure of Fog bay and the Finnis River to commercial fishermen and Barramundi netting has meant a Barramundi bonanza which has benifitted everyone fishing this area. Hopefully with the permanent closure to of this area, to be anounced within the 90 days, we will continue to see a great recreational fishery in the Northern Territory.

The people lucky enough to have fished with geoffcorry.com this season have also seen an increase on fish numbers, and the action has been frantic.

Fish are consistantly in the 70-100cm range. The average is between 80-90 cm so there are plenty of drag peeling fish to be caught in the river.

Rex Hunt fished his first ever run-off and after he had experienced the Finnis River in all it's splendor, his response was

" Geoff book me in every year for the rest of my life "

Here are a few of the pictures from the year so far.
